enhanced productivity and promotion of sustainable land use practices
Welcome to Tana-Beles Watershed Monitoring & Evaluation project. The WME project is attached to Tana-Beles Watershed Development B1 component, which in turn is a part of the large, five year (2008-2013) Tana-Beles Integrated Water Resources Development Project. Watershed Development B1 is implemented by the Bureau of Agriculture in Amhara State. The project area covers 85,026 ha in the upper catchments of Ribb, Gumara and Jema rivers, tributaries flowing to Lake Tana. Watershed Development B1 promotes advanced soil and water conservation methods in 163 community watersheds, comprising 44,380 households. For further details of the project
